Alfred Wilson

IT Specialist

Alfred Wilson is the Information Technology Specialist at Red Cell. His main goal is to provide IT infrastructure, end-user support, and cybersecurity knowledge to Red Cell and its incubations.

 

Mr. Wilson had a ten-year career in information technology, signal communications, and cybersecurity prior to joining Red Cell. Since 2017, Mr. Wilson, a current member of the US Armed Forces, has been a member of the Virginia National Guard. As a System Signal Operations Specialist, Sergeant Wilson is a 25U in the US Army. Prior to his two years as a cybersecurity engineer at Netmaker Communications, Mr. Wilson worked for SOC, LLC for two years as the information systems security manager, the USAID OIG and the Department of State for one year, Norfolk Southern for six months as an IT business analyst, and Keurig Dr. Pepper for four years as a technical support specialist. Mr. Wilson started his career in 2012 and spent four years there as a technical support specialist.

 

Mr. Wilson also received a B.S. in Business Administration from Chowan University in 2012 before graduating with his M.I.T. from American InterContinental University in 2013. Alfred is now doing his Doctorate in Information Technology at Capella University and is expected to graduate in September 2024. He will be a doctorate candidate working on his capstone study in January 2024. Mr. Wilson is a husband and the father of two kids.
