Sean O’Keefe

Sean O’Keefe is the Deputy CTO at Red Cell Partners. Prior to joining Red Cell, he served as the SVP of Engineering and Founding Engineer at Function Health, where he oversaw the development of a secure health data platform, grew the department to a multidisciplinary team of engineers, and launched a generative AI platform utilizing LLMs.

Earlier in his career, Sean was a Senior Software Engineer at Google Research, where he served as the technical lead for the TensorFlow Model Remediation library. His work there focused on the critical frontier of AI safety, designing open-source frameworks to mitigate bias and hallucinations. Sean’s diverse professional background also includes quantitative research at Bridgewater Associates, growth advisory for the CapitalG portfolio, and serving as a Green Beret in the 10th Special Forces Group.
