Geyer Jones

Vice President, Cyber Practice

Geyer Jones is the Vice President of Red Cell’s Cybersecurity Practice.

Geyer guides the identification, evaluation, and pursuit of emerging cybersecurity incubation opportunities. Following Red Cell’s investment, he provides operational and strategic guidance, working closely with founders and the Red Cell platform teams to ensure the newly formed companies are positioned to progress successfully through their early-stage business life cycles.

Before joining Red Cell, Geyer was a cybersecurity and risk management executive with operating experience leading strategy, operations, GTM, strategic partnerships, M&A and finance across VC and PE backed managed services and SaaS businesses. He was the CEO at Blackwell Security, a managed detection and response provider specializing in the healthcare vertical until its sale to Ostra Security. Prior to Blackwell, Geyer was COO at Cylera, a healthcare IoT cybersecurity company. Prior to these early-stage experiences, he was Chief Strategy Officer at RSA where he helped lead the transformation and RSA’s divestiture from Dell, resulting in STG’s $2.1b acquisition. Earlier in his career, he held senior positions at Symantec and Riptech, helping expand its MSSP business from the early stages of growth to over $150m.Geyer has also served as an advisor for several early-stage cybersecurity start-ups helping them raise seed and Series A funding and providing guidance around GTM, routes to market, and strategic partnerships.

Geyer received a BA in Economics from the University of Virginia.
