Kunal Sethy

Kunal Sethy is the Entrepreneur in Residence for Sparrow Healthcare, a Red Cell healthcare incubation.

Kunal is a seasoned 20+ year senior healthcare executive and 2X health tech start-up founder with a blend of strategic and operational experience from start-ups and large multinationals alike, spanning care delivery, health insurance, medical devices, and life sciences. Immediately prior to joining Red Cell, he was the Founder and CEO of Gaja Health, a leading platform for technology-enabled services from Community Health Workers. He incubated the company with Elevance, successfully completed two pilots, and closed external financing with leading institutional investors and angel operators in healthcare. Prior to Gaja, he was the Vice President, General Manager of the Northern California market, the only one focused on Dual Eligible Medicare/Medicaid patients, at Landmark Health and oversaw an interdisciplinary team of 40+ and a P&L representing over $200M in annual medical spend. He presided over the fastest engagement ramp in the history of the company at the time, while exceeding financial, quality, and clinical targets. Landmark Health was acquired by Optum. He’s also held leadership roles at GE Healthcare, Stanford Healthcare, Intel, Hearst Health, and Elevance.

Kunal is most passionate about building simple but powerful solutions for the most underserved and complex patient populations in our society and the high-performing interdisciplinary teams that deliver them. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Northwestern University. He’s a proud husband and father to two daughters and a dog. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering, advising digital health start-ups, coaching his eldest daughter’s soccer team, reading historical non-fiction books, taking international trips with the family, and exercising.
