Sophie Roney

Sophie Roney is the Director of Recruiting at Red Cell. She is focused on building Red Cell’s recruitment pipeline that fuels growth for the firm and the incubated companies.  

Previously, Sophie owned a small recruitment agency focused on helping start-ups source and recruit hard-to-fill technical hires while finding solutions for recruitment growing pains. Prior to agency life, Sophie grew a start-up team that successfully exited to a fortune 100 company. She started her career in project management and technical recruitment at Wolfram Research.  

Sophie has her B.S. in Business Management from the University of Illinois and continues to consult the University of Illinois Research Park as their “Recruiter in Residence.”
