Cyber Practice

About the Image: Founded in response to the launch of the Sputnik satellite by the Soviet Union and fears of a surprise nuclear attack, the Advanced Research Projects Agency – a branch of the U.S. Defense Department – created ARPANET in the late 1960s to link computers at Pentagon-funded research institutions. ARPANET would become the forerunner to the Internet.
